Sprint Fidelis® Leads Side Effects PDF Print E-mail
Sprint Fidelis® Leads are cardiac electrodes that connect an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) or a cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) to the heart of the patient.

In October 2007, Medtronic, Inc., the manufacturer of the Sprint Fidelis® Leads, suspended its distribution of the Sprint Fidelis® Leads. This related to four particular Sprint Fidelis® Lead models: 6930, 6931, 6948, and 6949.

The suspension followed revelations that in a small percentage of patients that had received Sprint Fidelis® Leads, the electronic wires were potentially prone to fracture.

The Side Effects Of Sprint Fidelis® Leads May Include:

  • Heart Failure
