YAZ RECALL

YASMIN RECALL

OCELLA RECALL

At the time of writing and posting this article, neither the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration), nor Bayer Healthcare has issued a Yaz, drospirenone, recall.  Also, no recall exists for Ocella, the generic for Yaz, at this time.

However, we placed this page here to discuss this term to help you find us and learn more about Yaz as we understand that sometimes consumers believe a drug that is receiving news reports about side effects may be subject to recall.

Yaz and related birth control medications have recently been in the news for various side effects.

Yaz was first approved in 2001 as a form of birth control.  Yaz and Yasmin are currently prescribed to prevent pregnancy, and treat moderate acne and PMDD.

Yasmin is another drospirenone-containing birth control medication.  Ocella is the generic form.

These drugs have not been recalled.  However, these drugs are linked to severe and potentially life threatening side effects such as blood clots, stroke, heart attack, PE, and DVT.

If you or a loved one have experienced any significant side effect such as blood clots, gallbladder disease or removal, DVT, PE, stroke, heart attack, or related medical issues, please contact us for more information.  We have a free information packet and questionnaire that we would like to mail you.

DROSPIRENONE-CONTAINING BIRTH CONTROL HAS BEEN POTENTIALLY LINKED TO THE FOLLOWING SIDE EFFECTS:

  •   STROKE
  •   DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS (DVT).  DVT are blood clots that interfere with healthy circulation.
  •   HEART ATTACK / MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION OR MI
  •   PULMONARY EMBOLISM / PE.  These are potentially fatal blood clots in the lungs.
  •   HYPERKALEMIA, which refers to life-threatening levels of potassium in the blood
  •   GALLBLADDER REMOVAL OR GALLBLADDER DISEASE

If you have these issues or any other related issues after taking Yaz, Yasmin, or Ocella, we would like to speak with you.

It is very important you go over your entire medical history with your doctor prior to starting a course of Yasmin, Yaz, or Ocella.  Also, if you suspect any medical issue of any kind you should not rely on this or other information on the internet, and should immediately review your symptoms carefully with your licensed physician.

There is no Yaz, Yasmin, or Ocella recall at this time.  However, we are reviewing claims for these types of side effects and we would like to mail you a free information packet.
